Payment Methods
Pay In Person
You may make payments in person at our office during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).

Pay by Dropbox
A secure drive-through drop box is located at the Dinwiddie Government Center located at 14010 Boydton Plank Rd., in the traffic loop facing the courthouse. The box is under surveillance and is checked regularly throughout the day. Place payment in a sealed envelope and include name, phone number, and mailing address.

Please DO NOT put cash in the drop box.
Pay at Local Banks by Cash or Check
All branches of First Bank and the Bank of Southside Virginia will accept tax payments in the amount of the tax bill. Please take your tax bill with you to make payment. Delinquent payments cannot be made at local banks.
Pay by Mail with Check or Money order
Bills can be paid by check or money order, payable to the order of Dinwiddie County Treasurer and mailed to:

Pay Over the Phone with E-Check or Credit/Debit Card
Echeck Payment
Echecks are accepted through our Automated Phone Pay system for no additional fee. You will need your Routing and Account Number which can be located on the bottom of your check.

Major credit cards accepted are: Mastercard, Visa, Discover and AMEX.

Instructions for our Automated Phone Pay System
- Dial 1-833-728-2240
- Press 1 to pay Personal Property Tax
- Press 2 to pay Real Estate Tax
- Enter account number from your bill
- Enter the last four digits of your SSN
- Enter your zip code
- Enter your Day time Phone number
- Select your form of payment (Echeck or Credit Card), enter this information
- Wait for your receipt number
Pay Online with E-Check or Credit/Debit Card
