Hometown Heroes

The Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors established the Hometown Heroes program in 2015 as a way to recognize African-American citizens of Dinwiddie County for significant contributions in a variety of areas during Black History Month.  These areas include:

     Agriculture            Government
     Business               Law Enforcement
     Education              Public Safety
     Faith Community   The Advancement of Civil Rights 
     Community Service

Please join us on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. as Dinwiddie County's 2026 Hometown Heroes are announced and celebrated.
